ROAM Dance School and Creative Arts is based in Shrewsbury and we specialise in street dance/hip hop, but we also teach a wide variety of other styles. As well as dance we also run music lessons and art/craft sessions.

We also specialise in providing workshops with industry professionals, keep an eye out for 'ROAM WORKSHOPS'.  At our dance school, we have both recreational classes for children, teens and adults to attend just for fun and we also have competition/performance teams.  We have 8 competition teams and a variety of classes including street dance, contemporary, ballet, commercial, jazz and heels.

Vision Statement:

To instil and develop a love of dance by providing fun and friendly dance classes and to provide elite training as well as inspiring opportunities for those who wish to take their dancing to a higher level.

Our History

We are now in our sixth year of running dance classes in Shrewsbury and have recently expanded to offer music lessons and art/craft sessions. Our competition teams have won many trophies at competitions as well as competed at British and World Championship level.

We hold an annual summer show at Walker Theatre, Theatre Severn. All dancers that attend the dance school have the opportunity to perform in this show.

Alongside teaching dance technique and skills, our second aim is to give our dancers as many exciting opportunities as possible and we often hold workshops with dancers and teachers who are currently working in the industry. We have had many dancers in for workshops some of which include Kaea Pearce (Royal Family, New Zealand), Tiago Santos (London), Sasha Woodward, Ricky Jinks, Joel Tolhurst, Joseph Mannion, Scott Holtom and many more.

What our customers are saying

All 3 of my daughters danced at Roam and although they have all grown individual aspects, confidence, discipline and self esteem, collectively they have all improved in ability. Not only does Roam provide them to learn new dance skills, it has helped them grow socially too, making friends from outside their local area. Laura is supportive, not only to their growth within dance but also personally too.
