Hip hop - Street Dance - Contemporary - Jazz - Commercial - Heels - Ballet - Tap
ROAM Dance School is based in Shrewsbury and we specialise in street dance/hip hop, but we also teach a wide variety of other styles. We also specialise in providing workshops with industry professionals, keep an eye out for 'ROAM WORKSHOPS'.
At our dance school, we have both recreational classes for children, teens and adults to attend just for fun and we also have competition/performance teams. We have 8 competition teams and a variety of classes including street dance, contemporary, ballet, tap, commercial, jazz and heels. Our aim as a dance school is to provide opportunities for children and adults to dance for fun as well as to provide elite training for individuals who are interested in performing and taking their dance further. Our dance school have performed at many events including Dance Fest in Solihull which Diversity are headlining at, Shrewsbury Kids Festival, Shrewsbury Christmas Light Switch On and many other events.
We were also very lucky to have had 'Oh Hey' Slogan Wear sponsor our team Emprise to help them toward purchasing costumes for World Championships in 2019.
We also hold an annual summer show at Walker Theatre, Theatre Severn. All dancers that attend the dance school have the opportunity to perform in this show.
Alongside teaching dance technique and skills, our second aim is to give our dancers as many exciting opportunities as possible and we often hold workshops with dancers and teachers who are currently working in the industry. We have had many dancers in for workshops some of which include Kaea Pearce (Royal Family, New Zealand), Tiago Santos (London), Sasha Woodward, Ricky Jinks, Joel Tolhurst, Joseph Mannion, Scott Holtom and many more.
Laura who's nickname is 'Lozz', is the owner of ROAM Dance School and is 27 years old. What our customers are saying
All 3 of my daughters danced at Roam and although they have all grown individual aspects, confidence, discipline and self esteem, collectively they have all improved in ability. Not only does Roam provide them to learn new dance skills, it has helped them grow socially too, making friends from outside their local area. Laura is supportive, not only to their growth within dance but also personally too.
